The nearest train station (13 minutes’ walk) is Crystal Palace, which is served by Southern and the London Overground. Southern trains run to Crystal Palace from London Victoria, London Bridge, Beckenham Junction (not on Sundays), and Sutton. London Overground trains run from Highbury and Islington. From Crystal Palace Station, the 410 bus runs from Stop M on Anerley Hill directly to the church (7 minutes).
Other nearby stations are Anerley and Norwood Junction.
St John’s has a free car park which you are welcome to use. There is also plenty of on-street parking nearby.
At St John’s we take accessibility seriously, and do what we can to enable all our visitors to move about the building and participate in worship without inconvenience or embarrassment.
The main entrance of St John’s is reached by a flight of steps, but the north door (on the left hand side of the building as you stand at the main entrance) has level access. If this is not already open, please ask. Inside, the nave (where most services take place and where communion is given) is on one level, but access to the chancel (for evensong) and to the toilets require the use of a portable ramp. Someone will always be happy to help you with this. There is one accessible toilet.
The sound system has a hearing aid loop, and large print hymn books and service sheets are available.
If we can do anything else to help you, please let us know.
