On Sunday 8th July from 3pm to 4.30pm we will hold a Death Café at St John’s.
Death is generally considered a taboo subject in Western culture. Our objective is to increase awareness of death and explore how this may enhance our everyday well-being.
Although the Sylvan Road Death Café is kindly hosted at St John the Evangelist (which is an Inclusive Church) there is no religious bias of any kind whatsoever or intent to evangelize. We aim to provide an opportunity for people of any background, religion, culture or belief to meet and discuss all aspects of death, dying or grief in a safe, non-judgemental environment.
Death Cafés are discussion groups rather than grief support or counselling sessions.
