Come along to our Meadow Day on Sunday 19th September, from 12.30-4.30pm, we will provide gardening tools (though it would be a good idea to bring your own gardening gloves, if you have them). If you have a saw or cordless drill and fancy constructing wooden edges for the beds do bring them too. There will be jobs for all abilities and ages, lunch will be provided, as well as convivial company.
We have made good progress over the last few months, particularly on the last 2 meadow days, come and look, it is much tidier, there are paths emerging and fruit and vegetable beds being revitalised, However we still need to get more done and for that we still need your help.
There are more paths to be constructed, beds to edge, compost to sort, edible hedge to get under control and wild flower areas to be cleared and resown. (we are also planning an autumn bulb planting day). Any help you, members of the congregation, will be very much appreciated for this gem on our land.
Please sign up by speaking to Sara Spillett or Rachel Rae or emailing [email protected] so we know how many to cater for.
