The Commemoration of the Faithful Departed (All Souls’ Day) – High Mass of Requiem

2nd November 2022 @ 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm

At All Souls, we remember all those who have died and with whom we share the hope of resurrection.  This service allows us to remember by name those known to us and you are invited to add names to the sheets provided in church or to email names to [email protected] so that they might be added.

Written just after the Second World War, the hauntingly beautiful setting of the Requiem by French composer Maurice Duruflé is based on Gregorian chant. The St John’s Choir will be performing the Requiem in its entirety during Mass.

In case you’ve never heard the Duruflé Requiem before, take a look at this video to get an impression of the beautiful music.
