In the week before Easter we remember the events that led up to Jesus’s death.
Commemorating Jesus’s entry into Jerusalem, the High Mass (10am) begins with a Liturgy of the palms.
At 6pm Stainer’s Crucifixion
MONDAY and TUESDAY OF HOLY WEEK
29th and 30th March
Mass at 10am, and a Healing Mass (Monday) and a Penitential Mass (Tuesday) at 8pm.
WEDNESDAY OF HOLY WEEK
Mass at 10am and 8pm, the evening Mass
followed by Tenebrae (music and reflection)
We remember the Last Supper with High Mass at 8pm, and then you are welcome to wait in prayer until midnight, when we remember Christ’s betrayal.
The Liturgy of the Passion at 12 noon, marking Jesus’s death on the cross.
In the 50 days of Easter we celebrate the Resurrection
of Jesus and the new life God gives to his people.
We begin celebrating with the Easter Vigil at 8pm on Saturday. The Easter candle is lit from the new fire, and the story of salvation is proclaimed.
Sunday 4th April
High Mass is celebrated at 10am,
and Choral Evensong and Benediction at 6pm.

We mark the end of Easter with two special celebrations:
Thursday 13th May
To celebrate Jesus’s return to his Father
after 40 days, there is a High Mass at 8pm.
DAY OF PENTECOST
Sunday 23rd May
Easter concludes with a celebration of the
sending of the Holy Spirit on the Church:
High Mass at 10am.
