What is Journey of the Magi?
Journey of the Magi is a sparkling production of dance, theatre, song and poetry. T.S. Eliot’s poem Journey of the Magi is in the inspiration for the show. We are reminded not only of the famous journey the wise men made following the star to Jesus, but also of the ‘journey’ each of makes every year in preparing for Christmas Day. It’s laugh-out funny, moving, and entertaining theatre and dance all at once!
Who is Journey of the Magi for?
It’s a performance for the whole community at the start of the festive season! There is no minimum or maximum age limit. Springs’ Dance Company are used to performing in schools, churches, and community centres!
How much is a ticket?
Tickets are free. The cost of the performance is being met by St John’s, who are committed to making the arts accessible to the whole community. There will be a retiring collection – please do give generously towards the cost of the performance if you can.
Do I need to book in advance?
Places are limited so do book a ticket if you’d like to come. There is no set seating, although there will be some mats for children to sit on close to the front if they’d like to be more involved in the performance. Doors open at 5:30pm.
Will there be an interval?
There will be a 15 minute interval, with refreshments including soft drinks and a candy floss machine. Let’s begin the festive season with a bang!
