St John’s tackles Period Poverty

On the first Sunday of every month, we collect for the Norwood and Brixton Food Bank, and on Sunday 7th July we’re going to focus on women’s sanitary products, to draw attention to the problem of period poverty.

Thousands of women are forced to choose between spending money on food and spending it on sanitary products. We’re asking for donations of sanitary pads and tampons to help women carry on with life normally during their period. (All donations will be accepted, but, if you are donating tampons, regular absorbency would be ideal – with or without an applicator.)
