After an amazing season-opening concert last Saturday, the London Mozart Players are back at St John’s on Saturday 23rd November at 7.30pm. This time you get to hear not only one but two orchestras as the London Mozart Players are joined by the Amadeus Chamber Orchestra of Polish Radio.
The two orchestras will play Mussorgky’s well-known Pictures at an Exhibition and Mozart’s elegant Sinfonia Concertante in E flat, and you also have the chance to hear Wojiech Kilar’s Orawa as well as Roxana Panufnik’s evocative Two Composers, Four Hands. On top of that, Polish folk dance group Karolinka will treat us to a performance during the interval.
If you get to St John’s early, you have a chance to view a special exhibition inspired by Mussorgsky’s piece with artwork created by pupils from Rockmount School.
Tickets are only £15 for adults and there’s a 15% early-bird discount if you book before 13th November (http://londonmozartplayers.com/concert/the-mozart-connection/).
