On Christmas Eve it will be wonderful to welcome children and their families or carers to St John’s Church and to our Crib Services at 2pm and 4pm.

You all know that it’s going to look different this year… but the story is the same: that God loves us so much he comes to us in Jesus, the infant child of Bethlehem and reminds us of his love.

This year we are asking you to book tickets through our website and the link to Eventbrite.  The Tickets are free, but we are asking that you help us to financially support Croydon Refugee Network.  Sometimes we make the story of Jesus’s birth so idyllic we forget that he too was a refugee.  So let us try not to forget those in our community who need help also at this time, especially as there are so many who have and continue to suffer this year.

So, on Christmas Eve, we can still gather for worship, we can come together and see the Crib figures, and hear the story of the Birth of a Child who still gives us the chance to change ourselves and the world in which we live for good, and to love a little more those around us, because we remember at Christmas that we too, all of us are loved.

I hope you are able to book tickets and join us for either the 2pm or the 4pm service at St John’s.
