Emma Tring Soprano

Bios:

Emma Tring is a classically trained soprano based in South London. She loves singing contemporary classical music and is excited to sing music that has never before been heard on our planet. She has been a soprano with the BBC Singers for over 15 years. She is a member of EXAUDI vocal ensemble, who specialise in contemporary music. She is also one half of Alexandra Ensemble with her violinist and husband Robin Martin. As a soloist, she has premiered many works and enjoys the chance to use her own voice!  


Programme:

Loud Cows Emma Tring and Lucy Goddard present a selection of contemporary vocal duets and solos for Soprano and mezzo-soprano, by composers including Kaija Saariaho, Morton Feldman, and Helöise Werner

The recital features a world premiere of ‘Loud Cows’ written by Emma Tring, setting the words of poet, author, and feminist Ursula LeGuin alongside the Adi Shakti mantra to invoke Divine Feminine energy.
