Richard Pearce Biography:
Richard was organ scholar at Trinity College, Cambridge. After graduating with first class honours in music, he studied accompaniment at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he is now a professor.
Richard records and broadcasts with the BBC Singers as organist, pianist and conductor. He has a long-standing association with the Royal Choral Society, and performs with them many times a year at the Royal Albert Hall in London. This December he is playing organ in no fewer than seventeen Christmas concerts in the Albert Hall’s Christmas festival.
He is Musical Director to Romsey Choral Society and Waverley Singers in Farnham, and is due to perform Bach’s St. John Passion and Will Todd’s Mass in Blue with them this season.
Richard is regular organist with the Philharmonia and BBC Symphony Orchestras, and plays for the Last Night of the Proms. He frequently directs and accompanies services at St Margaret’s Church, Westminster and at the Houses of Parliament.
