Bach by Candlelight

About the evening

Experience the music of J. S. Bach by candlelight in the beautiful and atmospheric surroundings of St John the Evangelist, Upper Norwood.

This intimate evening brings together some of Bach’s most wonderful music, including aria movements from his cantatas, performed alongside much-loved instrumental favourites such as the Air on the G String, Prelude from Cello Suite No. 1 and the dramatic Toccata and Fugue in D minor.

Featuring David McGregor (Alto), Ben Carter (Baritone), Angelika-Rose Stangl (Baroque Oboe), Ali Baumann (Baroque Cello) and James Gough (Organ).

Come and enjoy an evening of exquisite Baroque music in the warm glow of candlelight, in one of South London’s most atmospheric churches.
